Star City Summer Reading Trail
A free, family-friendly reading adventure across Roanoke this July!
July 1 – August 1, 2025
What Is the Reading Trail?
The Star City Summer Reading Trail is a self-paced, city-wide story stroll designed to spark joy and curiosity through books! From July 1 to August 1, visit local shops and community spaces around Roanoke where featured children’s books are displayed in designated areas chosen by each business—often in windows, lobbies, or other welcoming spaces. There’s no cost, simply sign up to get your map and start exploring!
📅 Save the Date:
We’ll wrap up the Reading Trail with a special Celebration Book Fair & School Supply Drive at Sweet P’s Ice Cream Shop on Saturday, August 2nd! Bring your completed map, browse new books, donate supplies for local kids, and enjoy one last adventure to celebrate a summer of stories.
